Mi experiencia con Citroen C3

Hola kiwis majos!

Hoy me apetecía contaros mi primera experiencia en el mundo del motor. Hace un par de meses Citroen España contactó conmigo para proponerme una colaboración, vieron mi perfil de Instagram (@kiwlex) y lo consideraron adecuado para prestarme su nuevo Citroen C3.

No tengo palabras para expresar lo afortunado que me siento, además me encanta el coche, el diseño, la funcionalidad, parece que se conduzca solo, el volante es súper suave, silencioso… Luces automáticas. Es un gusto conducirlo, la verdad.

Todo esto fue posible gracias a los profesionales y al equipo de marketing que se encuentran en el PSA RETAIL BARCELONA (Rambla de Badal, 81 Barcelona). De verdad, si sois de Barcelona y queréis que os asesoren para adquirir un nuevo vehículo no dudéis en visitarles, además de llevar Citroen, también llevan Peugeot por lo que seréis asesorados por partida doble 🙂

Para hacer las fotos que veréis a continuación, decidimos ir a Montjuic, una localización que me encanta por las posibilidades que ofrece. Me vestí de un estilo denim total de Bershka, con mis clásicos y pantalones rotos, la chaqueta vaquera rollo bomber, la long fit blanca y lo acompañé con mi sombrero negro de H&M. ¿Os gusta?

Hi, cool Kiwis!!

Today I wanted to talk about my first experience in the world of the engine. A couple of months ago Citroen Spain contacted me in order to propose a collaboration, they saw my Instagram profile (@kiwlex) and considered it suitable to let my try their new Citroen C3.

I have no words to express how fortunate I feel, that is an amazing car! The design, the functionality… it flawlessly driving, the steering wheel is super soft, silent … Automatic lights. It’s indeed a pleasure to drive.

All this was possible thanks to the professionals and the marketing team who are in the PSA RETAIL BARCELONA (Rambla de Badal, 81 Barcelona). Seriously, if you are from Barcelona and want to get any advice in order to buy a new car do not hesitate to visit them, in addition to Citroen, they also manage Peugeot so you will be advised on these two brands 🙂

To take the photos you will see below, we decided to go to Montjuic, a location that I love because of the possibilities it offers. I wore a total denim style from Bershka, with my distressed pants, the denim jacket bomber type, the white t-shirt long fit and I paired it with my black H & M hat. Do you like it?

La Burguesa Barcelona

Hola kiwis majos! Como estáis? 

Hace unas semanas me invitaron a comer a La Burguesa. Para quién no lo sepa o no sea de Barcelona, es una cadena de restaurantes (hay cuatro en la ciudad) especializada en enormes y buenísimas hamburguesas.

Nos esperaban a mi y a Anna (mi fotógrafa y amiga) a las 15h, nos habían reservado una mesa y nos invitaron a degustar unos cuantos platos buenísimos que os recomiendo (abajo tendréis fotos para haceros la boca agua junto con las direcciones por si queréis probar el sitio, de verdad, 100% recomendable). 

Para la ocasión me vestí con un total outfit de H&M: camisa de cuadros de color rojo, junto con una tejana bomber XXL, ya que la quería ancha y me parecían un poquillo justas. De complemento elegí una gorra de color rojo, no soy yo muy fan de las gorras pero me parecía que combinaba bien con el outfit y le daba así un rollo mucho más guay. Qué os parece a vosotros?

Hi, cool Kiwis! How are you?

A few weeks ago, I was invited to eat at La Bourguesa. For those who do not know or are not from Barcelona, it is a restaurant chain (there are four in the city) specialised in huge and delicious hamburgers.

They arranged an appointment for me and Anna (my photographer and friend) at 3 pm, they had booked a table and invited us to taste some great dishes that I recommend (you will find the photos below that will make you crave one. I will add the address in case you want to go to La Bourguesa, 100% recommended!).

For the photo shoot, I dressed in H&M clothes: red plaid shirt, along with a denim XXL bomber, since I wanted it wide and they looked quite small. I chose a red cap as accesory, I am not a fan of caps but it seemed to me that it combined well with the outfit and gave a much cooler vibe. What do you think about it?

Como NO hacer una sesión de fotos

Hola Kiwis majos,

Hoy os quiero hablar de cómo NO hacer una sesión de fotos, o de cómo una sesión se puede convertir en un desastre. 

Un Instagramer me recomendó que fuera a Sitges (a cuarenta minutos de Barcelona en coche) a hacer fotos, ya que al ser un pueblo costero tiene unas casas muy chulas todas blancas y salen unos fotones. 

Sitges de por si, es un pueblo que está lleno siempre de gente, da igual si es verano o invierno, pero si encima ya eliges carnaval la cosa es para pegarse un tiro. 

Estuvimos casi una hora buscando aparcamiento y entre que me lo robaban en la cara y que estaba todo lleno, al final tuvimos que aparcar en Mercadona (8€ por casi dos horas salió la broma). 

Después de estar tanto rato en el coche y de un viaje de 40 minutos, la rabia de tener que pagar, hacer fotos como que no apetece mucho… Así que decidimos que mejor quedarse viendo los carnavales, las únicas fotos que hicimos fueron estas en un puente chulísimo que encontramos así en tonos azules.

Para la foto llevo una chupa de ante blanca con una camiseta long fit gris también de Bershka. Es un outfit casual que creo que puede dar bastante juego, no os parece?

Today I want to talk about how NOT to do a photo session, or how a session can become a disaster.

An Instagramer suggested Sitges as a place to do a photo shoot (it is forty minutes away from Barcelona by car). Sitges is a coastal town whose white houses make up for a pretty awesome background for photos.

There is always plenty of people in Sitges, it does not matter if it is summer or winter, but if you choose a day within the carnival festivities the town bursts with people everywhere.

It took us almost an hour finding a place where to park, because the town was packed and all the other drivers were also very anxious to park… so they took all the places I located… In the end, we had to park in Mercadona (a rip off: 8€ for almost two hours).

After all this time inside the car, a 40-minute trip and the anger of having to pay that much in order to park for a few hours, I was not in the mood of taking some photos right away… We decided to stay and experience the Carnival. The only photos we took there were these ones on a nice bridge painted in blue tones.

In the photo, I wear a white leather jacket with a grey long-fit t-shirt, both from Bershka. It is a casual outfit that I think can fit nicely into any situation, what do you think?

Retro shooting

Hey kiwis majos!

Como estáis? Hoy me hace especial ilusión escribir este post, porque tengo muchas ganas de que veáis las fotos.

Os pongo un poco en antecedentes, la pastelería Cataypo (@cataypo en Instagram) me pidió si podía colaborar con ellos y colgar un post en mi IG de uno de sus pasteles. Al principio me descuadró un poco y que es una temática totalmente opuesta a el estilo que llevo yo en Instagram, pero lo medité un poco y se me ocurrió una manera muy guay de promocionarlo… ¡Hacer una sesión retro!

Llevaba mucho tiempo queriendo hacer algo diferente (la última vez fue en la lavandería para promocionar los Happy Socks), para ello decidí hacer las fotos en Peggy Sue Barcelona un local ambientado en los años cincuenta que tiene un rollo súper guay, además conseguimos que nos abrieran el local solo para nosotros por lo que pudimos hacer las fotos a nuestras anchas.

Solo hice dos looks muy sencillos, porque solo teníamos dos horas y tampoco queríamos abusar, los dos estuvieron compuestos por una camiseta básica long fit blanca, junto con unos tejanos muy rotos y dos cintas para la frente (una roja y la otra negra) todo de Bershka.

Lo que marcó la diferencia principal de las fotos fueron las chaquetas, un outfit estaba compuesto por una tejana bomber de Bershka y la otra por una chupa de cuero negra de Salsa.

Y bueno, no me enrollo más, simplemente disfrutad de la sesión y a seguir comiendo muchos kiwiiiiiiiiiis!

How are you? Today I am especially excited to write this post, because I really want you to see the photos.

I’ll give you a little bit of context, Cataypo bakery (@cataypo on Instagram) asked me if I could collaborate with them and hang a post on my IG of one of their cakes. At the beginning, I was reluctant as this is a totally different topic from the style I have on Instagram, but I thought about it and I came up with a very cool way to promote it … Making a retro session!

I had been wanting to do something different for a long time (last time was in the laundromat to promote Happy Socks), so I decided to take the photos in Peggy Sue Barcelona, a café-restaurant set in the fifties that has a super cool vibe. They opened the premises just for us so we could take the photos without customers.

I only brought two very simple looks because we only had two hours, and we did not want to take advantage of their offer either. The two were composed by a white long-fit basic shirt, along with very torn jeans and two headkerchieves (one in red and the other in black) all from Bershka.

The main difference between the photos were the jackets. One of the outfits had a Bershka bomber jacket and the other one a black leather jacket from Salsa.

Well, that’s it for today, just enjoy the session and keep eating many kiwiiiiiiiiiis!

Laberinto de Horta

Hola kiwis majos!

¿Qué tal estáis? Estoy muy feliz porque solo llevo tres post desde que he retomado el blog, pero las visitas están yendo muy bien ¡Muchísimas gracias! Eso me motiva mucho para seguir escribiendo y compartiendo estas fotos por aquí 🙂

Hoy os quiero enseñar unas fotos que hicimos en el Laberinto de Horta el pasado mes de enero, es un lugar muy chulo que hay que Barcelona y que inspira un montón a la hora de hacer sesiones.

Os enseño tres outfits que llevé para la ocasión:

El primero es el más “elegante”, una chaqueta de cuadros de Bershka que creo que viste súper bien, lo acompañé con un jersey de Tommy Hilfiger y una camisa también de Bershka así estilo vaquera.

El segundo, aproveché el jersey la camisa y le puse una chaqueta alcolchada amarilla, no sé que me está pasando con el amarillo pero está comenzando a gustarme mucho.

El tercero, elegí una sudadera enorme de Bershka y la acompañé con un gorro de lana negro de Pull&Bear, este outfit ha arrasado en 21 Buttons, os lo habéis comprado un montón a través de mi foto, estoy flipando mucho, enserio!

Bueno no me enrollo más, espero que disfrutéis mucho las fotos y seguir comiendo muchos kiwiiiiiiis!

How are you? I am thrilled because I have only posted thrice since I resumed the blog, but the visits are going very well. Thank you so much! This motivates me a lot to keep writing and sharing these photos with you in here 🙂

Today I want to show you some photos that we took at the Labyrinth of Horta last January, it is a very cool place in Barcelona that inspires me a lot when it comes to planning sessions.

These are the three outfits I took for the occasion:

The first one is the most “formal” one, a checkered jacket from Bershka that I think you can dress up any way you like, paired with a Tommy Hilfiger sweater and a shirt, also from Bershka, in a denim style.

The second one consists of the same sweater and shirt, plus I added a yellow jacket over them. I do not know what is happening to me with yellow but I am starting to like it a lot.

For the third one, I chose a huge sweatshirt from Bershka and I paired it with a black wool cap from Pull & Bear, this outfit has triumphed in 21 Buttons, you clicked a lot through my photo, I am really freaking out, seriously!

Well, I do not want to talk (write) endlessly, I hope you enjoy the photos a lot and keep eating many kiwiiiiiiis!

¿Como hago mis fotos para Instagram?

Hola kiwiiiiiiiiiiis,

Hoy quiero hablaros del material técnico que utilizo para hacer mis fotografías en Instagram (y a partir de ahora también de por aquí, jajaja).

La cámara que utilizamos es mía y es la Canon 1300D, es una cámara sencillita dentro de las réflex y tiene un precio muy asequible (350€ me costó en Amazon), fue un regalo que le pedí a mi familia por mi cumpleaños.

Como ya he dicho es una cámaras más sencillas que hay dentro de la gama Canon, y también es muy fácil de utilizar. Me la compré porque era mi primera cámara y aunque sabía que iba a darle uso comprarme una más cara me dolía bastante, si bien os soy sincero, algunas veces he pensado que si pudiera volver atrás me compraría una de una gama superior…

Mi idea es comprarme próximamente la Canon 80D.

Al mismo tiempo que me compré la cámara adquirí también un objetivo 50mm 1.8., ya que es como el objetivo “obligatorio” y “básico” para fotografiar retrato, tiene un coste de unos 130€.

Sin embargo, al poco tiempo me compré mi objetivo estrella, el que más me gusta y el que más caro me ha costado, el 85mm 1.8. (tiene un coste de unos 399€) que consigue un desenfoque brutal, me encanta, no puedo estar más contento. Lo malo que tiene es que tienes que alejarte bastante, como mi cámara no es una full frame… pero bueno, el resultado no podría ser mejor. Today I want to tell you about the technical material that I use to make my photographs on Instagram (and from now on also here, hahaha).

The camera we use is mine and is the Canon 1300D, is a simple camera within the SLR and has a very affordable price (350 € cost me at Amazon), it was a gift that I asked my family for my birthday.

As I said is a simpler camera that is within the Canon range, and is also very easy to use. I bought it because it was my first camera and although I knew I was going to give it use to buy a more expensive it hurt me enough, although I am honest, sometimes I thought that if I could go back I would buy one of a higher range …

My idea is to buy the Canon 80D soon.

At the same time that I bought the camera I also acquired a 50mm 1.8 lens, since it is like the «obligatory» and «basic» objective to photograph portrait, has a cost of about 130 €.

However, before long I bought my star target, the one I like the most and the most expensive, the 85mm 1.8. (It has a cost of about € 399) that gets a brutal blur, I love it, I can not be happier. The bad thing is that you have to get far enough, as my camera is not a full frame … but hey, the result could not be better. Hola kiwisssssssssss, 

No me lo creo, ¿Qué hago escribiendo? Pues resulta que el otro día me pidieron que escribiera un artículo para otro blog y me ha dado como envidia o algo y digo, pues voy a volver a escribir.

No sé si voy a hacerlo con frecuencia o como, pero bueno, al menos quería comentar la nueva colección masculina que ha sacado Stradivarius. De momento solo se pueden adquirir las prendas a través de su página online (https://www.stradivarius.com/es/) pero lo bueno que tiene es que pueden enviártelas a la tienda y solo tardan dos días! 

La ropa tiene muy buena pinta, tiene un rollo parecido al que tiene Mango, quizás a los consumidores más jóvenes no les guste.

Para la ocasión yo seleccioné tres piezas (de momento os enseño dos), esta camisa vaquera que nada más verla me encantó porque al ser un denim puede dar mucho juego, y quise acompañarlo de esta cazadora de piel sintética que creo que quedan muy bien. ¿Os gusta? 

A ver si me animo y veo que hay muchas visitas y vuelvo a ponerme al lío.

I can not believe it, what am I doing writing? Well as it turns out the other day I was asked to write an article for another blog and my will for writing has been reignited.

I do not know if I am going to do it often or how, but hey, at least I wanted to comment on the new men’s collection that Stradivarius has put on sale. Right now items can only be acquired through its online page (https://www.stradivarius.com/es/) but the silver lining is that they can be sent to the store and it only takes up to two days!

The collection looks great, it has a similar vibe to Mango’s, maybe younger consumers will not like it.

As a sample, for the occasion, I selected three pieces (for now I will only show you two): this denim shirt that right at the moment I saw it I fell in love with. Denim fabric provides lots of room to play with it, and I wanted to wear it with this synthetic leather jacket that I think fits very well. Do you like it?

Let’s see if I cheer myself up seeing you guys visiting and reading and I get back on track.
